And not just any yummy chocolate... on Valentines morning, I'd wake up, and there on my night stand would be a lovely small heart-shaped basket filled with Valentines goodies and chocolates of all kinds!
My mother was so good with holidays, but she always made Valentines Day so special.
I, of course, want Aloka to share my love for it. And at the same time I now look at it from a Mama's perspective; how can I create this for her without inundating her with sweets (as the remnants of Christmas goodies still linger in the house)!
It's all a balance I suppose. This year, she'll be getting a small but pretty red metal bucket full of some of her faves. I also bought her a (pink) CD player to listen to her own music on. I was just going to give it to her, but then Richard suggested it be a Valentines Day gift. She'll love it!
Today we made chocolate chip cookies and Valentines. What fun!

These are wax paper hearts that we grated pink, orange and red crayon on. We'll hang them in our window!
